Malva sylvestris is a one woman show which, thankfully, receives big support and help from her SO and friends.
Born in 1994, as a true millennial, I undertook the “university path” (BSc in Natural Science and MSc in Biology). Although achieved ‘cum laude’, feeling pretty average and being chronically anxious, I decided not to pursue the academic career.
My first encounter with a jewelry saw frame was during my MSc, where I had the opportunity to follow two metalsmithing classes.
I started to collect tools year by year and, after some pitiful "regular" work experiences, I was convinced by my SO to land in the 24/7 job career. So here I am, making and selling stuff I’m never satisfied of!

I actually live in Central Italy, close to the seaside, although my heart stays high up in the beautiful Apennines.

Common mallow (Malva sylvestris L., 1753) was the first plant I learnt to identify. When I was very young, me and my Granma used to collect it for sore tummy. I really have beautiful memories connected to those thick roots and violet flowers. I’m sure that everything started from that, my love for nature and wild things.
